Who We Are

The Living Artist Institute, INC. is a 501(c)3 Tax Exempt Organization dedicated to a Mission of Connecting Generations Together. The Living Artist Institute,INC. started out in 2005 as a Weekend Passion Project providing free Life skills workshops and free tickets to community events for Intergenerational Families in the Greater Boston area. Our focus is local, but our impact is Generational. In order to achieve our mission of connecting generations together; The Living Artist Institute INC. offers low-income intergenerational families:

  • Life skills education (i.e., positive parenting, financial fitness,
health and wellness, and workforce development)
  • Career or Volunteer opportunities in Long Term Care
    environments
  • Participation in affordable, life-enrichment activities in their
    communities.

Since 2013, the organization has partnered with Senior Care Centers, Youth Development Agencies, Shelters,Local YMCA, Financial Banking Institutions, and various Community Venues.

In 2020, Covid-19 changed our method of operation but not our mission. Connecting with others is a lifeforce: now more than ever. When connections are not made, many psychological problems are more likely to occur, such as cognitive decline, depression, as well as physical issues like heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, a weakened immune system, Alzheimer's Disease, and early death. The Living Artist Institute is strategically positioned to connect and care across generations without compromise.

"Connections between generations are essential for the mental health and stability of a nation"

-Margaret Mead
